Some big time changes..and some things that never change

2010 didn't exactly pan out as I had planned...I got much much more!

2 months into the year and I discovered I was pregnant! All other resolutions went out of the window, and the one and only one focus was a successful pregnancy and a healthy baby. With some scares, more hospital visits/stays and almost 6 months on bedrest, we were blessed with a beautiful beautiful baby girl, Saisha(Ishi), on October 19, 2010. More about her in her own blog here. With the last couple of months of 2010 going in recuperation and coping with mommyhood, I was all set to make 2011 a new story!

3 months in 2011, and I've finally got around to updating my blog. Hmm...3 years back I was blogging about how I needed to be more regular with blogging. And here I am on the same topic again!! And thinking of things that don't change...most of my last year's resolutions are the same as this year! Lets see how they fared:
- Body Weight: Went down to 54kgs, then upto 64 kg during delivery. Now stuck at a stubborn 61-62kg range. Ugh Ugh! 10 kgs to lose????
- Exercise: 20 mins cardio on treadmill for the last 6 weeks. Not bad. Lets see how we can keep it up.
- Sleep: Terrible terrible...AND my sweet baby sleeps through the night, almost from the beginning! No excuse!
- New Skill: One month of piano classes, before I went on bedrest last year. Might look into it again. Can definitely practice at home. Need to take keyboard out of storage. Excuse: Baby's cot has taken up all the bedroom space! Yea...I agree....very lame.
- Travel: Well kinda home-bound with baby this year. One trip to Jagdalpur coming up in May. The rest will need to wait a bit. Egypt is in the throes of a civil revolution anyway!
- Emotion: Well I think a huge huge plus here, all thanks to my miracle baby. Back in touch with many friends and relatives. Not so very active going out yet since Ishi is on exclusive breastfeed till 6 months (April 19) and that hinders day outs. But far better on phone and facebook!

Ah well...I guess some things really never ever change ... but the excuses do!! :)
